Back End Engineer

We’re looking for passionate software engineers with experience developing complex backend services. You would play a major role in designing and implementing backend services that interact with many different types of devices, and support thousands of concurrent users. The ideal candidate is well-versed in more than one framework, and has experience building backend services composed of lots of moving parts (microservices) that interface via APIs and communicate with various SDKs. You are welcome to join us if you:

  • Can read/write API specs like the back of your hand
  • Have strong opinions about Open Source technologies
  • Enjoy writing clean, high quality and well documented code
  • Know how to build Enterprise-grade products and systems

Job Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in PHP&MySQL development.
  • Experience with MVC frameworks (CakePHP, Symfony, Laravel or others)
  • Experience with relational databases is mandatory
  • Experience with RESTful web services
  • Version control experience e.g. GIT, SVN etc
  • Experience with NodeJS and WebSockets is considered a plus
  • Experience both with starting projects from scratch and jumping into existing codebases
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
